Research Technician conjugate Technology
(36/ 40 hours per week)

The position

As our research technician conjugate technology, you will contribute to the process development of Intravacc’s bacterial vaccines. Within this role, you are primarily responsible for setting up down stream and conjugation processes. You will carry out activities related to the purification and chemical engineering of vaccine components, with a focus on developing, optimizing, and validation of our new conjugation vaccines. You will be closely working with members of the up-stream processing and other Intravacc teams involved in the vaccine process development.

 

The role requires affinity and/or experience working in BSL-2/ML-II areas. In addition, you are familiar with working safely in a GLP/GMP environment. You have experience with working independently and as part of a team. The role involves preparing, executing, analyzing, and reporting experiments. Daily equipment and inventory management will be part of your activities. Additional tasks and responsibilities are:

 

  • Preparation of experiments
  • Independently and in a team carrying out experiments and analyses
  • Reporting results orally and in writing
  • Managing laboratory equipment and facilities

 

Your profile

The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience with separation techniques such as HPLC/UPLC. You have the ability to interpret and combine data from various analytical techniques. You are precise in your work, self-critical, and enthusiastic about solving problems and process challenges, within a team. Flexible mindset to deal with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

 

Job requirements

  • You completed bachelor’s degree (HLO), or equivalent in biotechnology or organic chemistry (Candidates with a PhD degree will not be considered)
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, and experience with HPLC systems, using a variety of techniques, like SEC, IEX and/or RP
  • Experience with SDS-PAGE, DLS, TFF, SEC-or FFF-MALS is a plus
  • Experience with GLP/GMP is also a plus
  • Analytical mindset and the capability to follow protocols accurately
  • Able to plan and organize your work independently and communicate results in the team proactively
  • You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and/or English
